FBA reimbursement calculator

Compare the cost of affected inventory with verified resolutions and linked cash. Get an estimate to investigate before preparing a reimbursement case.

All amounts must use this same currency. This tool does not convert currencies.

Check one event first.

Try the fictional example: five affected units, one distinct unit returned to inventory, a $12 cost and $24 already paid leave $24 of cost value for review.

Your entries stay in this page. No upload or account is required.

How the estimate works

First subtract distinct units returned to inventory from the affected quantity. Multiply the remaining quantity by your documented unit cost. Then subtract linked cash paid, after verified reversals. The displayed value cannot go below zero.

Formula: max(0, (affected units − distinct inventory resolutions) × unit cost − (cash paid − cash reversed)).

Use the same event and currency throughout. Inventory compensation and a found movement can describe the same units, so count those units once. Cash must be linked to this event; a payment for the same FNSKU on another incident is insufficient.

Worked example: five units at $12 each

This example is fictional. One of five affected units is confirmed back in inventory. The remaining four units represent $48 of cost value. A verified $24 payment for different units reduces the estimate to $24. If $12 of that payment is later reversed, the estimate becomes $36. Investigate the reversal and any later inventory records before using the result.

What this calculator can tell you

It checks arithmetic for one event. It does not match reports, establish current inventory status, evaluate Amazon claim windows, or determine the reimbursement valuation Amazon will accept. A zero can mean the entered cost value is covered; it does not establish that every unit was resolved. A positive result can reflect incomplete evidence or a different valuation basis.

Move from an estimate to evidence

Is the result an Amazon reimbursement claim amount?

No. It is a comparison against the cost basis you entered. Check the current policy in your Seller Central marketplace, the specific event category, supporting evidence and valuation before filing a case.

Do I need to upload Seller Central data?

No. This public calculator works with values you enter on the page. For report-based review, start a 14-day FluxPilot trial and upload your Inventory Ledger in your private workspace.
